Pro & Open Class MUST run off tyres found on the following list:
Clubsprint Class UTQGUTQG is the United States Federal Government Uniform Tire Quality Grading Standard While not really relevant to Australian conditions measure specified on the sidewall of most tyres. The treadwear grade is a comparative rating based on the wear rate of the tyre when tested under controlled conditions. However this may depart significantly from the nor due to variations in driving habits, service practices and differences in road characteristics and climate. The traction grades, from highest to lowest, are A, B and C, and they represent the tyre's ability to stop on we pavement as measured under controlled conditions and surfaces. A tyre marked C may havae poor traction performance. The traction grade assigned is based on braking (straight ahead) traction tests and does not include cornering (turning) traction The temperature grades are A (the highest), B and C, representing the tyre's resistance to the generation of heat and its ability to dissipate heat when tested under controlled indoor conditions. Sustained high temperatures can cause tyre materials to degenerate and reduce tyre life. Ref: Yokohama HPT Technical Service Manual 1993 |
